Louisiana Oil Spill Jobs

Oil Spill jobs in Louisiana continue to be posted. A quick look on just one local job board showed 122 jobs posted for oil spill cleanup and work related to the oil spill in Louisiana. Jobs ranged from temporary photographer for the Times Picayune; the New Orleans news paper, to EMT for Shell, to oil spill laborer. We saw oil spill jobs posted from Plaquemines to Laplace, and from Port Sulphur to Slidell. This is just one job board and there are many out there, so if you want a job in the oil spill cleanup, please get out there and start contacting these companies. The wide variety of work, and skill levels needed continues to convince us that if you want a job, there’s a very good chance that you can find one. If you have your hazwoper or hazmat certification, great, there are jobs. If you want to come down and help in an office, great , there are jobs in Louisiana. If you want to come down and write and take pictures of the beautiful Louisiana coast and the effect this disaster is having on it, I see at least three jobs for that. The point is, this thing isn’t going to clean itself up. And we know that many of you are desperately seeking jobs. So get out there and get that perfect job while you can. The best and safest place to begin your job search is LA works, a division of the Louisiana Workforce commission, and a state run job board.
