Navarre Beach gets worst oil yet

Plate sized globs of oil fouled Navarre Beach this morning. Up to 20% percent of the beach was covered before cleanup crews arrived. Tar ball scontinued to make life hard in Escambia county. And a huge miles long slick forced them to close Pensacola Pass and deploy more booms. Pensacola Beach has red flags flying to keep swimmers out of the water, but they say it is due mainly to rough surf. But Escambia county officials said they saw oil mousse and sheen off Pensacola Beach, Johnson Beach and Fort Pickens. There were also reports of sheets of tar balls from Perdido key to all the way to Alabama.
