These are two new offices in very southern Louisiana for those affected by the spill, or those wishing to find oil spill related clean up jobs. Open to Louisiana residents only.

“The Louisiana Workforce Commission (LWC) has established new temporary satellite locations in Cut Off and Lafitte, offering services for individuals affected by the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
In Cut Off, services will be offered through June 22 at the South Lafourche Library, 16241 East Main Street. Hours are 8 a.m. – 4 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
In Lafitte, a satellite office will operate June 21 through June 30 at the Jean Lafitte Town Hall, 2654 Jean Lafitte Blvd. Hours are 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. each week day.
A range of services will be offered, including assistance with applying for potential jobs that may become available due to the oil spill.
A toll-free hotline has been established by BP to discuss spill-related damage claims, including loss of income: 1-800-440-0858.
Workforce Commission services are offered at no cost to employers and participating job seekers.”
